Air Canada has announced an exciting addition to its international network: a non-stop route connecting Vancouver and Manila, starting April 2, 2025. This service aims to strengthen ties between Canada and the Philippines, enhancing both tourism and business opportunities.

The new route will initially operate three times a week, with flights leaving Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at 1:55 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arriving at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) at 6:20 AM the following day. Return flights from Manila will depart at 9:25 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving back in Vancouver the same morning at 6:20 AM, thanks to the time difference.

From May 1, 2025, the frequency will increase to four weekly flights, adding additional travel days to accommodate growing demand.

Air Canada will operate this route using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a state-of-the-art aircraft offering three travel classes: Signature Class with lie-flat seating, Premium Economy for added comfort, and Economy Class with standard seating and a range of in-flight entertainment options.

This Vancouver-Manila connection represents Air Canada’s 12th transpacific route, joining a roster of destinations including Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Sydney. Tickets are already available for booking on Air Canada’s website.

This initiative demonstrates Air Canada’s commitment to fostering global connectivity, facilitating travel, and creating new opportunities for cultural and economic exchange between Canada and Southeast Asia. The Vancouver-Manila route is expected to be a significant milestone in meeting the travel needs of the Filipino community in Canada and beyond.
